Dancing On Ice 2019: Is THIS why Gemma Collins suffered traumatic fall on ITV show?

Dancing On Ice 2019 contestant Gemma Collins has not had the best few weeks on the ITV skating competition.

After fighting back against harsh criticisms from judge Jason Gardiner, Gemma endeavoured to do better this week by putting in more work.

And although her performance was substantially better this week, she stumbled in the last few seconds of her routine.

In one fell swoop Gemma slipped forward and fell face-first onto the ice, leaving her a little upset.

And although claims have surfaced suggesting she supposedly “faked” the fall, last year’s contestant Kem Cetinay gave his thoughts on what really happened.

Appearing on ITV’s This Morning, Kem arrived to discuss the show as a whole.

Speaking to Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby he explained: “I was speaking to the coaches backstage.

“The reason they think she fell is she went too much with the flower pose.”

And this comment seems to have some grounds, as the footage of Gemma falling shows her shifting her balance to a different pose before falling.

Holly – who also hosts Dancing On Ice alongside Phillip – added she was shocked by the fall.

She said: “It’s funny isn’t it. We see lots of tumbles in rehearsals.

“But when it comes to the live show it doesn’t actually happen.”

Kem went on to give Gemma some praise, adding: “So much credit to her for getting up.

“I did see her after the show and she was so upset.”

However the tumble hasn’t been the worst thing for Gemma, as revealed earlier this week.

After her dramatic fall this weekend it has been revealed her odds on winning the competition have been slashed.

While the TOWIE star was previously sitting at 40/1 odds on winning, she has now achieved 25/1.

But she still has some complex competition as Love Island star Wes Nelson has still got a strong lead for the win.

He currently has 11/8 odds on winning – but will Gemma catch up with him?

Dancing On Ice 2019 continues Sunday at 6pm on ITV.
