Dancing On Ice 2019: 'He needs replacing' Viewers call for Jason Gardiner to be REPLACED

Dancing On Ice 2019 saw its second episode of the season this evening with the second collection of dancers arriving on the ice to perform.

And while many of the celebrities were eager to show off their newly-honed talents, judge Jason Gardiner was not so pleased with some of their efforts.

Former Pussycat Doll Melody Thornton arrived on the ice this evening to give an incredible display of ice dancing.

However Jason wasn’t impressed and gave her a disappointing 3.5 out of ten.

Later in the show Saira Khan jumped on to the ice to perform – but it didn’t go well for her.

After almost falling over a couple of times, Saira was awarded a four out of ten from Jason, shocking fans.

After this display fans began rallying behind removing Jason from the show altogether.

One wrote: “Shame Jason can’t be voted off this week… He needs replacing next year #DancingOnIce.”

Another agreed: “Can they just get rid of Jason!? #DancingOnIce.”

A third commented: “The show would double it’s viewing figures if they got rid of Jason #DancingOnIce.”

While one viewer simply added: “Vote for Jason to go #DancingOnIce,” alongside some cheeky emojis.

One fan even said: “Jason Gardiner needs to be axed from the show. He’s so harsh it’s only the first skate and he’s saying at this time in the competition you shouldn’t be making mistakes.”

Earlier on in the show Ashley Banjo hit back at Jason after he gave Melody such a low score.

While Jason only awarded Melody a 3.5, Ashley gave her a six.

This prompted Ashley to step in and disagree with Jason entirely.

He exclaimed: “Jason! I think that is so harsh, to be honest.

“I think that is beautiful, the connection, the storytelling.

“It was so aesthetically pleasing. It’s easy to forget it’s week one for you.”

Christopher Dean even went on to say Melody could be the first contestant to go on to perform the “headbanger” move this year.

Dancing On Ice 2019 continues Sunday at 6pm on ITV.
