The skating professional looked like he was trying to plant a smacker on the lips of his long-term dance partner after commending Max Evans and Ale Izquierdo on their believable chemistry.
Shortly after awarding Max 5.5 points, Christopher complimented the star for maintaining good eye contact with Ale.
Speaking directly to Max, he said: “What I really liked was the connection that everybody is talking about and the eye contact, that is what gives the intimate part of it when your skating.”
The 59-year-old then turned to Jayne, 60, held her closely and went in for a kiss.
Teasingly, the figure skater stopped just before their lips met before quickly turning his attention back to Max, 34.
Understandably, the audience went wild and cheered for the pair to actually kiss.
Even Dancing on Ice hosts, Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield couldn’t resist getting involved too.
From the side of the rink, Phillip, 55, shouted: “I remember that!”
While, Holly, 36, quipped: “Steady on! Steady on!”
Later, Christopher told Max: “Well it’s all about the eye contact and you had loads of that. Well done!”
Elsewhere on the show, judge Ashley Banjo teased rugby player Max and Ale for their convincing chemistry.
The 29-year-old praised Max, 34, for the pair’s impressive routine before adding: “I loved that. Slowly paced routines are more exposing, not just for the routine but for the connection between the two of you.
“I don’t know what’s going on between the two of you but I love it.”
Neither Max or Ale responded to Ashely’s comments, which was unsurprising given Max’s relationship status.
Earlier this month, it was revealed that Max had split from his wife of four years, American actress Katy Marie Johnson, 29, in early 2017.
The couple had struggled to make it work with their opposing work commitments.
Dancing On Ice airs Sundays at 6pm on ITV.
