Dancing On Ice 2018: Andrea McLean leaves Jason Gardiner squirming over filthy jibe

The judge vehemently denied the accusations Andrea laid before him, which made for uncomfortable viewing.

Loose Women host Andrea, 48, appeared on Dancing On Ice as a contestant back in 2006, when the notorious Australian was on the panel.

The moment came as Linda Robson asked Jason: “Is there anything you ever said that you regret saying to anyone?”

Denise Van Outen then jumped in to question: “What did you say to Andrea?”

Jason, 46, hesitated for a moment before Andrea chimed in.

“I think it was that I ‘looked like a giraffe having sex on ice’.”

However, Jason looked around quizzically before denying the accusations.

“I don’t remember saying that because I don’t think I’d be allowed to say that on television,” he claimed. “I think that’s something the press made up.

“I certainly would never have said that, because it’s not that funny.”

Andrea didn’t look so certain, but replied with a hesitant: “Oh, okay.”

Despite his denial, there is actually truth in Andrea’s assertions as Jason did make the inference in an interview from 2006.

“Standing still, Andrea looks great,” he told The Sun. “But I don’t know if you’ve ever seen a giraffe try to run or have sex – it’s not pretty. They look awkward.”

Although it was clear Andrea didn’t take the comments to heart, as she excused Jason from what he had said to her during her time on the show.

She said: “I know you’re lovely, I took it on the chin. You were right, I really wasn’t very good.”

Loose Women airs weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV.

Dancing On Ice continues Sunday at 6pm on ITV.
