BBC presenter Anita Rani was seen helping to round up wild goats as part of the National Trust’s annual event on the Isle of Wight to keep the feral population in check.
Along with an army of volunteers, the 39-year-old presenter was trying to herd up 30 goats over 200 acres of very steep terrain.
For the Countryfile segment Anita had decided to don a pair of bright pink trousers that made her more than a little conspicuous on the rocky, green hills of Ventnor.
Her wardrobe choice led a number of audience members to take to social media to comment about how successful Anita would be in her attempts to round up the goats.
One person asked: “Camouflage hat and pink trousers. Does Anita want to be seen or not? #countryfile.”
As a second posted on Twitter: “#Countryfile Anita is rounding up goats they’ll see her coming with those shocking pink trousers.”
“The Goats have just spotted your hi vis trousers #Countryfile #pink,” joked a third.
A fourth added: “#Countryfile the goats got spooked by those trousers!!!”
Tonight’s episode of the BBC wildlife show focused on working animals in a compilation instalment that looked at different creatures that serve humans.
Earlier on in the programme Anita was looking at sniffer dogs and putting their noses to the test with a series of challenges, including hiding a bat in a field for one of the keen canines to find.
Meanwhile, Sean Fletcher looked at birds of prey and how they aided farming as well as feeding some tiny, week-old falcon chicks rat mince.
Adam Henson explored the words of working horses helping to restore parkland on stately homes, which involved them rolling the lawn and pulling a carriage and harvest wagon.
Countryfile continues on BBC One next Sunday at 7pm.
