Countryfile forced to apologise as fans LASH OUT over HUGE gaffe: 'It's been a long day'

Teasing tonight’s episode online, the post incorrectly listed the episode at the wrong location.

Outraged fans took to social media, angered that their home town was mistaken in the blunder.

One viewer wrote: “I thought they were in the Isle of Man?”

“Get the geography right! You’ve gone from White to Mann in two tweets! #Countryfile,” posted another.

A representative for the show posted: “Apologies – it’s been a long day! We’re on it now though! They are [on the Isle of Man]. Our bad – we’ve got it right now though. Been a long week…. Forgive us.”

The original tweet was deleted and replaced with the correct location, promoting one fan to post: “That’s better!!! How dare u say it’s the Isle of Wight!”

It comes as viewers were left red-faced after .

The seemingly X-rated drawing gave viewers the giggles, but that was not Ellie’s intention.

Having covered the table with a large helping of the flower, the BBC presenter began swirling her index finger around to form an image of rye and a tractor.

The segment was meant to explain how a baker decided to approach the government to use locally produced Rye flower – but viewers could not help but see “something else”.

continues next Sunday on at 7pm.
