ITV bosses released the first set of Coronation Street pictures showing Tyrone Dobbs (played by Alan Halsall) cheating on Fiz (Jennie McAlpine) with Gemma Winter (Dolly-Rose Campbell).
The pair can be seen passionately kissing on a sofa, without Fiz in sight.
Could this spark the end of Tyrone’s soap relationship with Fiz?
Fans of the drama were not happy with the post, with bosses facing a garage of unhappy comments about the plot twist.
ITV are lining up shock sex scenes for Tyrone and heartbroken Gemma, according to reports.
A source said: “The shock romp is going to send shockwaves through Weatherfield.
“Fiz is loved by all her friends and neighbours and they’re not going to be happy with either Tyrone or Gemma but it will be Gemma who gets it worse.
“Only Rita will defend Gemma from the backlash on the cobbles.”
The source added to the Sun: “It could be the end of Fiz and Tyrone forever.”
Coronation Street has been without Fiz Brown since December of last year, as actress Jennie competed in ITV’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!
The character’s exit was sparked after her mother suffered a fall, forcing her to go and spend Christmas in Wolverhampton caring for her.
This event quickly followed an argument with her partner Tyrone, which left their relationship on the rocks.
Tyrone will be unfaithful to Fiz in scenes set to air next week, when he starts becoming close to kebab shop worker Gemma.
After seeing how good Gemma is with his kids, Hope (Isabella Flanagan) and Ruby (Macy Alabi), the pair share an odd moment.
This will lead to Tyrone risking his life with Fiz, and their children, as he ends up having a one-night stand with Gemma.
Amid this infidelity, Fiz arrives back from her excursion to her mother’s house, ready to repair her relationship with Tyrone.
Coronation Street continues this Wednesday on ITV at 7.30pm.
