It has already been revealed that Coronation Street newcomer Josh (played by Ryan Clayton) is going to commit a horrible crime in an upcoming storyline on the ITV soap.
Later this year Josh will drug and rape David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd), after they go out drinking together.
However, it has been revealed that this is not the only horrible act that Josh will commit during his stay in Weatherfield, as his violent tendencies also come out.
In upcoming scenes, drug addict Lee Mayhew (Richard Crehan) returns to the soap, sparking controversy on the cobbles.
He makes his return because his brother Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) needs drugs to quell his pain killer addiction.
Whilst Lee initially exploits his brother’s addiction, he later leaves him to suffer after Billy refuses to let him stay at his house.
Meanwhile Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) spots Lee around the village, and alerts David to his presence.
Having previously been kidnapped by Lee during one of his unstable drug-fuelled bouts, Sarah is understandably terrified of his return.
Not happy with Lee’s presence, David decides to take action.
He settles on scaring the drug addict away from the village – with help from his new pal Josh.
The pair compose a plan to throw Lee into the back of a van and confront him once and for all – warning him to stay away from the village, and Sarah.
But as David makes his exit, Josh heightens the situation by threatening Lee with a tyre iron – leaving Lee frightened for his life.
This death threat is the first view into Josh’s evil nature Coronation Street fans will get, ahead of his attack against David.
David’s storyline will follow the aftermath of the horrific event, where viewers will witness him dealing with the trauma.
So far, Josh has been seen joining in with the community spirit, as he has joined the charity boxing match, along with helping David train for the fight.
Coronation Street continues Wednesday at 7.30pm on ITV.
