Coronation Street spoilers: Prime suspect in Underworld collapse REVEALED in eerie scenes?

The collapse of the Underworld factory is set to be one of the most gripping whodunnits in history to air on Coronation Street.

Six suspects in the ITV soap have been revealed, with Robert Preston (played by Tristan Gemmeill) among the list of potential conspirators.

In tonight’s instalment of the long-running drama series, the chef approaches Underworld boss Carla Connor (Alison King) as she leaves work.

Barging into the businesswoman on the street, Robert warns her to watch her back, after convincing himself she is stirring things between him and girlfriend Michelle Connor (Kym Marsh).

The silver-haired man’s word stun Carla, but she thinks he is bluffing and probably being a little overdramatic about it all.

Having been named as one to watch out for in the Underworld factory saga, will Robert take drastic measures to get revenge on Carla.

The collapse of the knicker factory will come at a time when Carla is not only struggling professionally but personally too.

Her on-off boyfriend Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) looks set to abandon her at her time of need after realising they are not good for each other next week.

Carla discovers her ex-husband is planning to leave Weatherfield when word gets to out to her he purchased a new boat to set sail and start afresh.

In a bid to stop him, the business owner contacts his dad Ken Barlow (William Roache), who unfortunately for Peter reveals the pair are parked outside Freschcos en route to Southampton.

Naturally, she tracks them down and professes her love to a shocked Peter, before begging him not to go.

But Peter rejects her, liking her to alcohol, admitting he loves her but she is bad for him.

He then turns to Ken and insists it is time they continued their travels, leaving Carla heartbroken.

On the same day Peter rebuffs her advances, Carla finds out her factory has collapsed and at least one person is dead.

The roof of the factory caves in when workers stage a protect after learning their jobs could be on the line, due to cut-backs.

Some machinists barricade themselves inside the building, while Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor) and Gina Seddon (Connie Hyde) take to the roof.

When the sisters climb onto the roof of the building to hang a banner it suddenly gives way, resulting in the sisters plunging down onto the shop floor.

Could their fall be fatal? Or, will the siblings survive the terrifying ordeal and pull through?

Days after the incident, Carla stands outside the ruins of Underworld consumed with guilt and breaks down when it is announced there has been a death.

Coronation Street continues tonight on ITV at 7.30pm and 8.30pm.
