Coronation Street spoilers: Peter Barlow to have SORDID affair with unexpected flame

Coronation Street’s Peter Barlow (played by Chris Gascoyne) has certainly had his fair share of women on the soap.

He’s been through three women already in serious relationships and has broken many more hearts along the way.

However, in the coming weeks, he will set his eyes on a new lady.

It is believed Peter will fall into the lap of Abi Franklin (Sally Carmen) in 2019.

According to The Sun, the Corrie bad boy will be a part of a hilarious new sketch over Christmas.

When asked about the upcoming storyline, Sally hinted it will be a saucy affair indeed.

The actress teased: “I’m ringing that man’s bell like Quasimodo on steroids.”

She went on: “It’s like being with a randy octopus.”

A soap source added to the publication: “Abi seems to want a full-blown relationship but clearly Peter is just up for sex.

“It’ll play out in the New Year, before Peter’s other big storyline which sees his boat go up in flames.”

There will be more drama over the months for the Barlows as they find themselves in the middle of an horrific fire.

Peter planned to go away on his canal boat for a couple months with Simon (Alex Bain).

But disaster strikes when the vessel goes up in flames, leaving Simon and Peter caught in the action.

Will one of them perish in the fire?

Chris has since spoken about a potential exit for Peter, revealing how he would like to see him die.

He is a historical alcoholic and as such Chris thinks he could go out drinking.

However, could his plan be completely scuppered by a mid-life crisis?

“He’s always had a crisis, I don’t think mid-life is any different. You’d think it would be a car, but it’s not, it’s a boat, Chris told press including Express.co.uk.

“He sees the boat as way to be himself and leave, but it’s a dream.”

Coronation Street continues tonight on ITV at 7.30pm and 8.30pm
