Eva (played by Catherine Tyldesley) is planning on terminating her pregnancy, but Toyah (Georgia Taylor) soon shows up unexpectedly in Coronation Street next week.
Toyah finds out the news from Shona Ramsey (Julia Golding), who discovered Eva was pregnant after the barmaid listed her sickness symptoms not knowing she was with child.
When she turns up to the abortion clinic, Toyah claims she wants to support her friend, but Eva will be stunned when hears what she has to say.
In last night’s double bill it was revealed that Toyah’s surrogate had lost her baby with partner Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne).
Toyah was heartbroken, and Eva was left feeling guilty as she agonised over what to do about her own baby.
The pair could be about to come to a special arrangement given the circumstances.
Does Toyah want Eva’s baby for herself?
Eva’s ex, Aidan Connor (Shayne Ward), is the father of the child but the two are no longer together.
In a cruel twist of fate, the couple had split after Eva faked a pregnancy to keep Aidan from Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon).
Catherine, 34, confirmed last year that she would be leaving the ITV soap in the summer.
The actress said in a conversation with The Sun: ”Eva has been such fun to play over the last seven years, and who knows, one day she might storm the cobbles of Weatherfield again.
“In the meantime I’m excited about the future, new acting projects, and spending time with my family.”
Shayne, 33, will also be leaving the programme this year as part of a top-secret plot.
A source revealed to The Sun: “Nobody will see this coming. Viewers are going to be absolutely stunned. It’s going to be a blow for the fans – but also a massive TV moment.
“Everybody wants Shayne to be a huge part of the show next year.”
Coronation Street continues Wednesday at 7.30pm on ITV.
