Eva Price (played by Catherine Tyldesly) has hid her pregnancy from almost everyone, with the exception of friend Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor).
The pair made the decision to let Toyah bring up the child once Eva gives birth, however, their plan will be rumbled next week.
Newly released pictures show Toyah warning Eva that Simon Barlow (Alex Bain) knows about her pregnancy and what they’re planning to do.
Next week, Eva will flee Coronation Street to a cottage nearby when she can no longer hide her growing baby bump.
The mum-to-be had always intended to leave Weatherfield for the final stages of her pregnancy and was recently shown signing a lease for the cottage.
But when Toyah visits Eva at the cottage to see how she is doing, she is also forced to tell her that Simon knows about everything.
Eva is shocked when Toyah says Simon knows their secret, leaving her fearing the truth could come out.
It’s unknown how Simon finds out or how he’ll react to being lied to, especially with his dad Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) oblivious to what Toyah is up to.
Elsewhere in Coronation Street, Eileen Grimshaw (Sue Cleaver) and Nicola Rubinstein (Nicole Thorpe) are set to have a huge shock when an intruder breaks into the formers home.
In an upcoming episode, Eileen will worry when she finds the back door of her home open and nails put in her car tyres.
Later when Eileen and Nicola return to the house they hear some unusual noises coming from the staircase.
The pair soon realise that someone has broken in, prompting Eileen to arm herself with a kitchen pan.
With Eileen’s estranged husband and serial killer Pat Phelan (Connor McIntyre) on the loose, could it be him coming to take revenge after she let him fall from a cliff?
On Good Friday Eileen and Pat got into an a very heated argument after she found out he had murdered four people.
Disgusted by the revelation, Eileen refused to help Pat after he begged for her assistance from the edge of a cliff.
Instead Eileen stamped of her husband’s feet and watched him fall into the sea.
Fans of the show were stunned after watching the scene, with one writing: “OMG I never knew Eileen had it in her.”
Another said: “Finally ol’ Eileen has grown a pair.”(sic)
A third proclaimed: “It’s the end of an era.”
Coronation Street continues tonight on ITV at 7.30pm and 8.30pm.
