Coronation Street baddie Pat Phelan (played by Connor McIntyre) miraculously survived plunging into ice cold water after an epic showdown with his spouse Eileen Grimshaw (Sue Cleaver) on Good Friday.
Eileen did little to help her husband when he dangled off a cliff-edge and instead she stamped on his feet before watching him fall.
Living with guilt after lying to the police about what happened at the harbour, Eileen has found it difficult to move forward.
Next week Eileen’s behaviour will shift so drastically that even Summer Spellman (Matila Freeman) will start to worry about her.
After noticing that Eileen has fallen into depression and is not really left the house, Summer will try her best to support her.
Unfortunately, Summer’s efforts may be in vein as things look set to go from bad to worse when a intruder creeps into Eileen’s home, terrifying both her and Pat’s daughter Nicola Rubinstein (Nicola Thorpe).
A wary Eileen will become concerned when she finds the back door of her home open and nails pierced through her car tyres.
Later, Eileen and Nicola return to the house and quickly notice some unusual noises coming from the staircase.
The pair soon realise that someone has broken in, which will prompt Eileen to arm herself with a kitchen pan.
Will it be Pat who comes creeping out of the shadows? And if so, will he finally take revenge on Eileen and continue his killing spree?
Next week, Eileen will also befriend a women called Abi (Sally Carman) on Maxine’s bench, with the troubled Street Cars operator agreeing to let her stay the night.
Meanwhile, Pat looks set to kill again, despite show boss Kate Oates promising the dodgy builder will get his comeuppance.
In newly released pictures, it seems Gary Windass (Mikey North) is on the receiving end of Pat’s vicious beating.
Shacked up in a caravan outside of Weatherfield, Pat is discovered by Gary, who heads into the mobile home to check things out.
Unwilling to be caught out, Pat arrives and appears to threaten Gary with a baseball bat, cornering the young dad during their encounter.
Pat has already killed four people and is on the run since the police discovered the bodies of his victims, so he really has nothing more to loose.
Will Pat finish Gary off? Or could Gary take down the mass murderer?
Or, will the evil businessman be caught before he takes another life?
Coronation Street continues tonight on ITV at 7.30pm and 8.30pm.
