Julia Goulding, who plays the mother of Kylie Platt’s (played by Paula Lane) killer Clayton Hibbs (Callum Harrison) in the ITV soap, was spotted filming in Manchester yesterday.
The character was seen being followed down an alleyway by two men, who attempt to steal her mobile phone.
However, Shona puts up a fight which leads the males to launch into a vicious confrontation, kicking and punching her to the floor.
The ex-girlfriend of groomer Nathan Curtis (Christopher Harper) is then left for dead with her lifeless body just lying in the street.
The soap star’s face was seen covered in fake blood as her companions threw her around on set before landing – thankfully – on a crash mat.
Julia gave one of her co-stars a high-five after completing the dramatic shoot, following the shock reveal that Clayton was her son, who she gave birth to aged 13.
She recently told Lorraine Kelly: “Their relationship is very fractured, it could get a hell of a lot worse.”
Julia, who first joined the long-running drama late last year, added: “She’s not the kind of person who would be that manipulative, [her and David] have a lot more in common than either of them realised when they first got to know each other.
“I think the relationship probably will develop, in which way we don’t yet know, but can you imagine how complicated that will be.”
