Comic Relief 2017: Viewers left shocked by Sir Lenny Henry's slim and youthful appearance

The 58-year-old cofounded the British charity with scriptwriter Richard Curits in 1985 in response to the Ethiopian famine.

Ever since, the comedian has presented the telethon on many occasions but his stint this year left viewers in shock.

Many viewers of the Red Nose Day programme were left gobsmacked with the star’s age-defying looks.

One viewer wrote on Twitter: “Lenny Henry doesn’t age, it must be all those comfortable nights sleeps in the premier inn. #comicrelief.”

Sir Lenny told viewers: “We want to send our thoughts and love to all those affected by the events in Westminster.”

“Tonight is an opportunity to save lives, to reach out in the spirit of partnership and compassion.”
