This time, he’s appealing to a totally different market – with Andrea Bocelli.
All versions of the song count towards its chart position, with the festive rundown set to be announced next Friday, 22 December.
It will count all sales and streams accrued from this Friday, December 15, at 0:00 through to the following Thursday, December 21, at 23:59.
Sheehan is currently the 4/7 favourite with Ladbrokes, ahead of Wham!’s Last Christmas at 5/1.
That track never did reach the top spot, beaten in its original year by Band Aid.

Rak-Su are next in line on 8/1: the X Factor winners are currently No2 with Dimelo but could lose momentum as their talent show victory becomes more of a distant memory.
Other contenders include Choirs With Purpose (16/1), Rita Ora (16/1), Ariana Grande (20/1) and Stormzy (20/1). Gregory Porter has also released a new single.
Last year’s Christmas Number One came from Clean Bandit featuring Anne-Marie and Sean Paul with Rockabye.
