Cheltenham Festival 2017 – Ladies Day WORST dressed sees hideous hats and gaudy colours

The strangest of styles at Cheltenham Festival today took the form of a Cinderella meets Cruella de Vil style ensemble.

The blonde punter wore a full skirted royal blue gown with a large white fur cape.

The woman donned white tights and boots, white gloves, three strings of pearls and a swipe of red lipstick and dark shades.

Another woman wore a black, gothic-style tiered ensemble, with unflattering thin spaghetti straps and a matching feathered fascinator.

Bizarre headwear, as always, made for quite the eyesore at the famous races. One woman wore a faux fur leopard print topcoat with a yellow brim.

Another woman looked as though she had a mallard positioned vicariously on the top of her head.

The dead bird inspired headgear continued. One woman wore an extravagant blue and orange bejewelled piece, which seemed to be making a bid for escape by slipping down one side of her face.

Another seemed to have a pink feather bower wrapped around her wide-brimmed hat.

One woman wore an enormous fascinator that took the shape of a large multi-tonal blue flower.

Over-the-knee boots made an appearance at the races, with one woman paring hers with a very skimpy red-dress – an outfit not in keeping with the traditionally elegant occasion at all.

Two women who arrived as a pair were wearing shockingly loud ensembles.

One wore an orange, while and black outfit with a leopard print hat, and another wore a bright emerald blazer with blue mirrored glasses and a fascinator with an enormous feather.

One classy lady sipped straight from her own personal bottle of Moet while wearing a baby blue and turquoise suit.

Yesterday’s fashion at the races was no better. Cheltenham Festival sees racing fans travel to the town to place bets and watch the spectacle, with royals in attendance.

But while some looked fit for a queen, others opted for rather questionable ensembles.

This year was no exception, with one man dressed in a suit with a £50 motif all over it.
