Cheapest car to service in the UK REVEALED – Does your car make the list?

Car servicing is a crucial thing to ensure our cars are roadworthy and safe, but it can also be a massive money drain.

Often repairs can catch us off guard and result in hefty bills, that were not accounted for.

Therefore, having a car that is cheap to maintain and service could save you a lot of cash in the long run.

Car servicing provider, Servicing Stop, has released new data, collected from more than 250,000 vehicle service claims, which claims to reveal which vehicles are the cheapest to maintain.

It has also revealed some of the pricier cars to service.

Ranking as the most thrifty car when it needs to be seen by a mechanic is the Peugeot 106, a dinky and dated car with costs of just £158.

It is followed by the Ford EcoSport and Nissan Pulsar costing £176 and £180 respectively.

Making up the top five are Ford Kuga and Citroen C1.

CEO and founder of Servicing Stop, Oly Richmond, claims that British drivers overlook serving costs when buying cars.

He said “Many motorists think about the cost of the car when purchasing a new or second-hand model, but often the running costs go forgotten about.

“You could end up spending twice as much every single year by purchasing a more expensive vehicle to service so make sure to do your research in advance.”
