Celebrity MasterChef: Viewers STUNNED by Rachel Stevens' appearance 'I don't understand'

The S Club 7 star appeared on the cookery show alongside Olympic swimmer Rebecca Adlington, actor Tyger Drew-Honey, Paul Daniels’ widow Debbie McGee and radio presenter Dev Griffin.

While the group struggled through their evening cooking at a Michelin star restaurant, and were chastised for not putting in enough effort into some of their dishes, viewers zoned in on Rachel and were shocked that it appeared she hadn’t aged a day.

Taking to Twitter, one fan posted: “Ok, what’s Rachel Stevens’ secret? Why hasn’t she aged in 10 years? #MASTERCHEF.”

“How has Rachel Stevens frozen her face in time since 1998? #MasterChef,” another speculated.

A third agreed: “Rachel Stevens on Masterchef So that’s where the fountain of youth went…”

One viewer even put the reason down to the star’s band days, saying: “Unless an S Club Party involved moisturising, I don’t understand how Rachel Stevens look like that at 39. #MasterChef #CelebrityMasterchef.”

Meanwhile, some viewers were skeptical of judges Gregg Wallace and John Torode apparently going too easy on the celebrity contestants in their criticism.

One person commented: “I am convinced that on Celebrity Masterchef the judges are a lot more lenient than they are in the regular version.”

“Screaming at the TV because waspy woman on masterchef doesn’t cook her sauce into her pasta and the judges just let it slide like it’s nothing?!” another viewer said angrily.

The episode ended with Tyger, 21, getting knocked out of the first round after his food was not up to scratch, and an elated Rebecca said with relief: “I just didn’t want to be the first one to go!”

Celebrity MasterChef continues next Wednesday at 9pm on BBC One.
