The BRITs 2018 has begun with a number of celebrities already taking to the red carpet.
Presenters Maya Jama and Clara Amfo have made the best-dressed lists in similar pink ensembles that flashed their long limbs.
Other celebrities such as Dua Lipa and Paloma Faith went for outfits that were less glamorous, with oversized skirts and fussy dresses making it onto the worst dressed list.
Yet many of them appear to be wearing white rose pins – what is the meaning behind them?
Many of the celebrities have chosen to have a white rose pin on their dress.
Some have taken it one step further by holding a real white rose.
The reason behind it is in honour of the recent MeToo movement.
In a bid to show their solidarity with the Time’s Up campaign, the white roses are being used instead.
The white rose insignia was also used at the Grammy Awards where they also wore white roses.
Dua Lipa and Paloma Faith have been seen holding one on the red carpet whilst presenters Maya Jama and Professor Green wore the white rose pins.
The Time’s Up movement is highlighting the problems within the industry of sexual harassment against women.
With the high-profile Harvey Weinstein case that was brought to light last year, a number of celebrities including Reese Witherspoon and Eva Longoria started the movement to both highlights the problem and raise money for the cause.
