Kendrick looked like he was left stranded when his track appeared to restart several times as he laid on a glass box at the Brit Awards.
Despite the apparent issues, the rapper continued to perform his set, however, the situation did not go unnoticed with viewers.
Taking to Twitter to comment on the unfortunate event, one person wrote: “Tf is happening with Kendrick Lamar’s performance on the Brits? I’m confused.”(sic)
Another asked: “Is Kendrick Lamar OK?,” While a third joked: “Kendrick Lamar are you alive hun?”
A fourth questioned: “Has Kendrick Lamar actually fallen asleep? What is going on right now? #Brits2018.”
It is claimed Kendrick’s set was stopped three times but because of the one minute delay viewers at home only witnessed a fraction of the extended introduction.
A source told Metro.co.uk: “It sounded like the music wouldn’t play properly.”
However, technical issues were not the only problem on the night for Kendrick as fans complained that most of his song was muted out because of swearing.
Furious viewers took to social media to slam ITV, with one user writing: “Congrats ITV for mugging off Kendrick Lamar by muting half of his performance despite it being after the watershed #BRITs2018.”
“What is happening to the sound during this Kendrick performance? I feel attacked. #Brits2018,” another said.
A third commented: “Between the glitched intro and overt censoring that saw 90 per cent of sound inaudible, that Kendrick performance was a DISASTER. Feel so bad for him.”
“Did anyone else understand any of what just happened with Kendrick Lamar’s performance?#BRITs2018,” asked a fourth.
Kendrick mirrored his Grammy performance earlier this year when the words “This is another satire by Kendrick Lamar” appeared on the large screen behind him.
After he was joined on stage by Rich The Kid, who helped him smash a luxury Lamborghini with baseball bats.
The 30-year-old took home the International Male award, beating Beck, Childish Gambino, DJ Khaled and Drake.
Other winners on the night included Dua Lip, who won the British Breakthrough Act trophy and Stormzy, who bagged the British Male Solo Artist gong.
