During a skit which pits the duo against each other, Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly were set the unenviable task of making an omelette on speed in the style of the BBC cooking show.
The pair were rushing around with their giant spatulas trying to make the eggy dish while Stephen, 40, delivered his usual dry humour.
However, the segment soon descended into chaos after Dec was declared the winner by Aldo Zilli.
The trio all set about dancing around the set to the Saturday Kitchen theme tune, until mischievous Ant chased after the More Talent host with his omelette against Stephen’s protests.
A bewildered Stephen ended up leaving the set in order to avoid tasting the losing dish, whilst Dec merrily danced behind clearly enjoying his victory.
It was also an eventful night over on BGT, as Amanda Holden used her golden buzzer, sending comedian Daliso Chaponda straight to the live semi-finals.
The Malawian stand-up performer had everyone in hysterics as he joked about the financial crisis in the first world.
Elsewhere, David Walliams found himself in the middle of a spat with an adjudicator from the Guinness World Records as Ryan Tracey successfully made his way into the famous list of achievements.
The entertainer managed to beat a previous Australian record for the fastest time he could shape balloons whilst blindfolded.
Britain’s Got Talent continues Saturday on ITV from 8pm.
