Britain’s Got Talent: Fans in complete TURMOIL over death-defying stunt 'Can't cope'

This evening’s Britain’s Got Talent had it all.

From gospel singing to magic and naked sleight of hand, the first episode of the series certainly included a variety of acts.

However the final contestant of the show brought the judges and fans of the show to their knees.

Matt Johnson, an Englishman hailing from Vancouver, Canada, demonstrated his escapology skills on stage.

The routine consisted of Matt locking himself in a box filled with water.

As if this wasn’t difficult enough, he then handcuffed himself, and put a number of wrong keys in the box with him.

Not looking excited for his routine, Matt locked himself in the glass box and proceeded to try and break out.

As the clock started, each of the judges looked away.

After a minute of being underwater, Amanda Holden began to panic.

She said: “I can’t look!”

Fans on Twitter were equally distraught.

One wrote: “I’ve got palpitations just watching this #BGT.”

Another agreed: “I can’t cope with this #BGT.”

One more yelled: “This is nuts! What the hell is he doing? #BGT.”

When Matt eventually got out of the box alive, a wave of relief swept over the internet.

Let’s block ads! (Why?)
