Wednesday sees the release of Britain’s Got Talent’s latest launch trailer, which showcases Britain’s best unknown talent.
The trailer shows the BGT judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, David Walliams, and Alesha Dixon dressed as historical monarchs.
Simon embodies King Arthur, Amanda has taken up the mantle of Elizabeth I, David is playing George III, and Alesha has dressed up as Queen Victoria.
However Ant and Dec are nowhere to be seen.
The pair have presented the series since it began in 2007.
With much of the show already recorded, it is expected the presenting duo will host the live shows as well – although this hasn’t been confirmed.
The geordie duo’s absence comes after Ant, 42, crashed his car on Sunday 18th March.
He has since been charged with drink-driving, and has confirmed he is going back to rehab.
A source for the ITV show told the Daily Record: “This promo was filmed in February, they weren’t supposed to be in it.
“They don’t always feature in them every year.”
Rumours have suggested Dec Donnelly may host the live stages of the show on his own.
These claims come after the announcement that Dec will be hosting the final two episodes of Saturday Night Takeaway alone.
He wrote on Twitter: “Whilst I never thought I’d be in this position, after much discussion and careful consideration we’ve decided that the remaining two shows of this series of Saturday Night Takeaway will go ahead.
“We made a promise to take hundreds of deserving winners to Florida to watch the series finale, and we will honour that.
“Everyone at ITV and the Takeaway team feels we owe it to the audience to complete the series.”
Britain’s Got Talent returns Saturday 14th April on ITV.
