The latest instalment of Britain’s Got Talent saw Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams whittle down the remaining acts left in the competition, ahead of next week’s semi-finals.
Sue Moretta, from Clayton Le Moors in Lancashire, looked almost certain to have bagged a place in the penultimate round of the contest with her stomping rendition of Don’t Rain On My Parade.
The powerhouse vocalist received huge praise from Simon and even pushed David to drop his trousers in front of thousands.
Awaiting the panel’s decision, Susan said: “I know that the judges are in a room right now, deliberating. I can’t hear them say no. In my head, I can’t hear it – I won’t hear it.”
However, she was sadly mistaken as the singer was swiftly culled from the process, and she didn’t take the decision lightly.
“That b*****d didn’t put me though,” Susan raged, as she stormed out of the auditorium.
Acts who proved more successful than Susan included young magician Issy Simpson, girl group Miss Treat Vibe and stripper PC Dan.
Unsurprisingly, Missing People’s Choir also sailed though to the live shows and since their audition they have emerged as the bookie’s favourites to win.
The group includes the sister of missing Manic Street Preachers guitarist Richey Edwards, the father of chef Claudia Lawrence, and Peter Boxell and Denise Horvath-Allan, whose children have both been missing for 28 years.
Of course, the five golden buzzer acts – Sarah Ikumu, Just Us, Daliso Chaponda, Matt Edwards and Kyle Tomlinson – have already had their places confirmed.
