Those watching at home took to Twitter to comment on the result, with one writing: “Welp, that’s my bit of excitement for the week over #TheChase.”

Another posted: “All deserved winners, well done team! #TheChase,” with a third commenting: “Well done team. Thoroughly deserved #thechase.”

“Very well done team, even if it could’ve been £25K each. £8K is still a very nice amount of money for a day’s work,” a fourth remarked.

The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV.
