Black Friday 2017 is today, with many shoppers excitedly counting down to get their hands on a range of goods for discounted prices.

The UK high street has embraced the shopping bonanza which began in the US, and the event gets bigger every year.

Boots is one of the most popular stores thanks to its wide range of items.

The chemist and high street retailer began offering major deals last week to allow Britons to stock up on gifts at a discount.

Boots are not the only UK high street store who have slowly started offering discounts ahead of Black Friday.

John Lewis and Debenhams began reducing items last week as a way to tempt shoppers to start spending for Christmas.

How to make the most of Black Friday 2017

Do plenty of research before the day so you don’t miss out on the best deals and you know exactly where to go to get them.

Save links to the items you might want, and follow your chosen brands on social media as most will probably announce flash sales on their accounts.

And don’t forget to sign up for cashback sites such as Quidco or TopCashback to earn money as you shop.
