Black Ops 4 REVEALED – Call of Duty Battle Royale CONFIRMED to rival Fortnite and PUBG

has officially been revealed and it will feature Call of Duty’s first ever Battle Royale mode.

Treyarch’s David Vonderhaar announced the new mode and said it would offer “the kind of fast paced action” that the Call of Duty series is known for.

He added the Blackout Battle Royale mode would take place “on the biggest map we’ve ever made.”

Vonderhaar described the Blackout map as being 1,500 times bigger than the iconic Nuketown map.

It marks the first time ever that a game has included a Battle Royale mode and follows on from the huge popularity recently of Fortnite as well as PUBG.

The Blackout Battle Royale mode will also include land, sea and air vehicles as well as returning characters from previous Black Ops games.

The returning characters for the Blackout mode will also include the cast from the Zombies mode.

Black Ops 4 was announced at a major event attended by fans and press in LA today.

Also showcased was Black Ops 4 multiplayer as well as the Zombies mode which will feature three day one scenarios.

Treyarch chairman Mark Lamia also confirmed at the end of the event that Black Ops 4 will not have a traditional single player campaign.

Three teaser trailers focused on the content coming to the Zombies mode.

Treyarch revealed that there will be three different pieces of day one content for players to play through.

The first showed a zombie breakout in Ancient Rome, the second was about a zombie outbreak on the Titanic.

While the third, entitled Blood of the Dead, will focus on a returning fan favourite map.

The main multiplayer mode itself, while having a futuristic feel to it, will focus on “boots on the ground” combat.

Vonderhaar and Dan Bunting said Black Ops 4 features the series “most ambitious combat” ever and will feature “grounded” military battles.

The main multiplayer mode will also have story missions for players to go through, which will help replace the lack of single player content.

The PC version of Black Ops 4 will also be the first ever Call of Duty game to be released on Blizzard’s BattleNet platform.

It will also be fully integrated with BattleNet’s social features but Black Ops 4 itself will have it’s own dedicated servers.

Treyarch said that Black Ops 4 on the PC is “custom built” and will be the version that the PC community “deserves”.
