The opening episode, USS Callister, is lead by Jesse Plemons who played Todd Alquist in the hit series.
Throughout Breaking Bad he acted as a sidekick to Jesse Pinkman (played by Aaron Paul) and the two are brought together once more in the first instalment of the dystopian Netflix outfit.
Jesse, 29, plays a computer genius who takes out his frustrations in an extreme virtual reality game, Infinity, where he plays Captain Daly, the leader of a spaceship from a classic TV show, Space Fleet.
The crew are made up of his real-life co-workers, played by Cristin Milioti, Jimmi Simpson and Michaela Coel, who are subjected to whatever cruel whims Daly has.
The crew eventually free themselves from Daly’s torture into an online version of the game.
Once they have escaped, they greet a nearby ship via their communications system and are replied to by a gamer voiced by none other than Aaron Paul.
Aaron, 38, replies in his unmistakable voice: “Yeah, Merry Christmas. Are we going to blow each other are we going to trade? Hello?! Do you have anything to trade at all?”
When it becomes clear the crew have nothing to offer, Paul tells the ship “Get out of my quadrant or I’ll blast you all to s***!”
As the ship flies away he says: “Yeah, you better run! King of space right here!”
Although the reunion doesn’t happen entirely in the flesh, it will come as a treat for fans of Breaking Bad.
The hugely popular drug drama ran for five seasons before coming to an end in 2013.
Black Mirror season four is now available to watch on Netflix.
