The new Better Call Saul teaser seemed to completely surround Gus Fring (played by Giancarlo Esposito), with each clip relating back to the Los Hermanos Pollos owner in some way.
Nacho Varga (Michael Mando) and Marco Salamanca (Luis Moncada) also seemingly appear in the teaser, though some of the shots are of shoes and the back of heads.
They can be seen to team up and shoot a car window before setting the vehicle on fire.
Another clip shows an unknown character being shot by Nacho or Marco or both.
This relates back to the first look image released by Netflix, showing Nacho and Marco aiming their guns.
A brief scene with Gus on his phone speaking to another unknown character leaves more clues.
He can be heard to say: “Now is not a good time!”
Gus will be at the forefront of this series along with his relationship with the Cartel.
This takes place several years before any Cartel plot in Breaking Bad, seen in season three, and will be a first for viewers to delve deeper into the history and backstory of their favourite characters.
No specific information regarding this plot was teased in Breaking Bad and looks to reveal specific details about his Cartel connection.
In season three, Kim Wexler (Rhea Seehorn) feel asleep at the wheel due to her fatigue from overwork and drove her car off the side of the road.
Crashing into a boulder in the accident, Kim suffered a broken arm and decided to take a leave of absence from law practice.
The latest snaps see Kim almost fully healed, indicating the show’s timeline has progressed quite a bit.
Other teaser snaps display Mike Ehrmantraut (Jonathan Banks) in focus, but the background is out of focus.
Fans of Breaking Bad will know that Mike still has a way to go in his character development in order to fully team up with Gus.
According to the official season four synopsis from AMC, Mike is going to take on a “more active role” as Madrigal Electromotive’s security consultant.
It reads: “Mike Ehrmantraut takes a more active role as Madrigal Electromotive’s newest (and most thorough) security consultant.
“It’s a volatile time to be in Gus Fring’s employ, as Hector’s collapse sends shock waves throughout the Albuquerque underworld and throws the cartel into chaos — tearing apart both Gus and Nacho’s well-laid plans.”
How will Gus and Mike’s relationship be explored in season four to move them closer to their Breaking Bad timelines?
Better Call Saul returns to AMC for a 10-part series on August 6 with its UK premiere arriving on Netflix the following day.
