When will Better Call Saul season 4 be released?
Season four of Better Call Saul started filming in January this year after creator and writer Peter Gould confirmed the news on Twitter.
The director posted a photo of the Better Call Saul clapperboard along with the caption: “We are….. rolling!!! #BetterCallSaul #Season4 #ABQ.”
The tweet was posted back in January, suggesting that there’s going to be a wait for the fourth outing of the AMC drama.
It’s expected that season four will also comprise of 10 episodes like the previous runs.
US broadcaster AMC hasn’t yet confirmed an air date yet and neither has Netflix, which will be screening season four in the UK.
There was a nine-month gap between the end of season one and the release of the second run, while there was a year-long wait for the third run.
Season three wrapped up in June 2017 but with filming only three months in, it looks like the earliest the four cycle will be dropping is in autumn 2018.
Who will be in Better Call Saul season 4?
Comedian and lead character Bob Odenkirk will be reprising his role as lawyer Jimmy McGill, who will become Saul.
While ex-police officer Jonathan Banks will be back as Mike Ehrmantraut.
Rhea Seehorn will be returning as Jimmy’s love interest and fellow lawyer Kim Wexler.
Michael Mando will be playing gang member Nacho Varga, while Patrick Fabian is expected to once again put on the mantle of Howard Hamlin.
Also likely to be back in the frame is Giancarlo Esposito as drug dealer Gus Fring.
However, the fate of Jimmy’s brother Chuck McGill seemed uncertain after he was caught up in a fire in the season three finale.
What will happen in Better Call Saul season 4?
The show will be picking up from the explosive events of the season three cliffhanger as the drama develops and moves nearer to the events of Breaking Bad.
Speaking about what fans could expect from season four, producer Vince Gilligan teased: “Every year gets us closer to Jimmy McGill becoming Saul Goodman, and this year will be no different.
“The worlds of Jimmy and Saul are coming together, and therefore it stands to reason the worlds of Better Call Saul and Breaking Bad are overlapping deeper and deeper into one another as well.”
He went on to tell the A.V. Club that there was “some fascinating stuff coming” and that the show would be getting “darker”.
Is there a trailer for Better Call Saul?
As of yet there’s no trailer for Better Call Saul season four because the show is still in the early stages of production.
