Did Chuck survive in Better Call Saul?
Season three ended on a harrowing cliffhanger with audiences not clear now whether Jimmy McGill’s (played by Bob Odenkirk) troubled older brother Chuck (Michael McKean) survived the fire in his home.
Chuck’s mental health issues have proved to be a debilitating factor in the skilled lawyer’s life for much of the series.
Most of season three of the Netflix series showed him making huge progress with his electromagnetic hypersensitivity only for him to completely relapse in the final episode.
The season three finale saw Chuck tear his home apart in search of any signs of electricity after he brutally told Jimmy he “never meant much” to him.
He knocked over a lantern in the process which saw the house engulfed in flames.
Viewers never got to se whether Chuck survived the fire, so it is not known whether he will be appearing in season four.
The show’s wikipedia fan page lists Chuck as a ”deceased” character.
Will Chuck be in Better Call Saul season 4?
Chuck will still be playing a big part in season four through flashbacks.
“We’re not done with the character Chuck McGill, “ series co-creator Peter Gould told Vanity Fair.
“But on our show, that could mean a lot of things, because we have the ability to go back and forth in time.”
Speaking to the New York Times about season four, McKean said: “I know they want to bring me in for some flashbacks this coming season, but that’s kind of beside the point.”
When is Better Call Saul season 4 released?
Better Call season four is expected to be released in September 2018.
Filming just began in January, so production is starting a little later that usual but fans can be reassured that new episodes of the Breaking Bad spin-off will be hitting Netflix later this year.
The first three seasons were given spring releases.
Season four will consist of 10 hour long episodes with Bob Odenkirk back in the starring role of Jimmy McGill aka Saul Goodman.
Will there be another season of Better Call Saul?
There is no word on whether the show has been renewed for a fifth season yet.
Fans will have to wait for season four to air first before finding out if there will be a fifth run.
