Beauty and the Beast: Ewan McGregor SLAMS ‘gay moment’ row – ‘It’s 2017 for f**k’s sake’

Appearing on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in the US last night, the star joked of the Disney remake: “There’s a lot of gay sex in it. There’s a LOT of gay sex in this film.”

He added sarcastically: “And if you live anywhere near Alabama you should not go and see this film! What would Jesus think?”

When Colbert asked whether the “gay moment” did actually exist, following speculation that it had been massively overblown, McGregor insisted that LeFou (Josh Gad) is intended to be homosexual – but it shouldn’t be an issue.

“I think he is a gay character,” he confirmed. “It’s just like… he’s a gay character!”
