Presenting from Alexandra Palace, Matt Taylor wrapped up warm as he told viewers it will be a chilly weekend.
He said: “So it’s definitely a weekend to grab the gloves, grab the hat and grab the gloves.”
BBC Breakfast co-host, Naga, had some advice for the meteorologist on how to stay warm when out on location.
She revealed: “I also grab a hot water bottle and shove it up my coat. Thats a really good hint.”
Matt appeared a little taken aback by her idea and replied: “Do you really?”
Naga responded: “You should have had one with you, I will send one for you. There are toe warmers as well you know.”
One viewer thought Naga’s sentence was heading elswhere as they wrote on Twitter: Naga: “I grab a hot water bottle and shove it up my coat’. Thought she was going to say something else. #bbcbreakfast.”’
Another was also surprised with Naga’s idea and said: “Naga’s a bit mad isn’t she… #hotwaterbottlenews #bbcbreakfast.”
Delivering the morning forecast, Matt told viewers there is dense fog in the south west of England today which could bring about disruption for commuters.
In north west Scotland, there is a bit of breeze and lots of cloud but there is also clear skies which is similar to the weather in Northern Ireland today.
Across Northern England into the Midlands and Wales, there is thick cloud which may bring about the odd patch of rain.
In southern counties, there will be sunshine but for the south west, the fog will continue until later in the morning.
During the day, southern parts of England will brighten up with temperatures ranging from 11 to 14 degrees celsius across the UK.
This evening, heavy rain will hit England and Wales which will turn increasingly wet into the morning.
Clearer conditions for Scotland and Northern Ireland and the rain will clear up during the day.
