BBC weather: Carol Kirkwood wows in skintight floral dress as she presents forecast

The 55-year-old brightened up the dark start to the day as she wowed in the tight number and showed off her gorgeous curly hairdo.

Delivering the forecast, the popular TV star said it is quite chilly this morning with temperatures very low in southern England.

First thing today, there is some patchy fog across southern counties which will slowly lift in the next couple of hours.

Throughout the Midlands, Wales and northern England, there is thick cloud which could produce some rain and there will be the odd shower in Scotland and Northern Ireland.

However, most of the UK will be largely dry with bright spells in the south of England.

Later today, it will be a lot drier than yesterday for Scotland and Northern Ireland but this will bring cooler conditions with temperatures ranging between seven and 12 degrees celsius.

This evening, there will be the odd spot of rain and fog patches will form again in the south of England.

On Friday, there will be cloud around and plenty of sunshine but the weather will take a turn for the worse in the afternoon.

A band of rain will hit Northern Ireland and Scotland and there will be showers in the south west of England and north west Wales.

BBC Breakfast continues weekdays at 6am on BBC One.
