The popular TV star looked fabulous in a striking scarlet dress which brightened up the screen, in stark contrast to the dreary weather outside.
Carol, 55, told viewers it will be a mild start but a lot of rain is forecast for the day along with gusty winds.
She said: “If you’re travelling this morning there could well be a lot of surface water and spray on the roads. So do take extra care.”
This morning, it is very cloudy in the UK but this has brought about milder conditions as temperatures have lifted.
There will be heavy bursts of rain in eastern Scotland, Wales and the south west of England to start the day.
Whereas, Northern Ireland will brighten up and the south east will see the odd spot of rain in the morning.
During the day, there will be gusty winds as the rain sinks south eastwards but Scotland and Northern Ireland will enjoy some late afternoon sunshine.
This evening, the rain will drift towards the south east and it will be a cold night with clear skies.
Frost will be seen first thing tomorrow morning and then it will be a fine day for many tomorrow.
