The popular presenter looked sensational in a red and navy block dress which highlighted her incredible figure.
But although Carol’s appearance on the show would have put a smile on viewers’ face, her forecast would have had the opposite effect.
She told fans of BBC Breakfast there is a lot of fog this morning and the Met Office has issued a yellow warning across eastern England, the Midlands and the south east.
With visibility as poor as 50m in some parts, Carol said: “If you’re travelling, do take extra care.”
This morning, it is a murky start in Scotland and rain in east England which is followed by a lot of cloud.
The south west of England and Wales will enjoy drier conditions although it is still pretty cloudy.
Those in Northern Ireland should be prepared for heavy showers for most of the day.
Throughout the day, the rain in the south of the UK will travel northwards and it will become very windy with gusts of 60mph in the south west.
Tonight, the rain will drift eastwards and fortunately the wind wind will ease with temperatures remaining in double figures overnight.
Elsewhere, tomorrow morning will have a fair bit of cloud which will bring about very heavy rain in Northern Ireland.
As she finished off her early morning forecast Carol joked: “Anyone would think it was autumn!”
One person replied to her comment on Twitter and wrote: “@carolkirkwood yeah all this wild weather, any1 would think it was autumn :D….who cares tho…….as long as its carol season 😛 x.”
Another said: “@carolkirkwood Morning Carol definitely autumn moving to winter.”
