Several eagle-eyed fans spotted the embarrassing mistake during the BBC’s holiday coverage.
The huge blunder was made while presenter Steph McGovern explained what viewers at home would be entitled to if their flight were to be cancelled.
As the 35-year-old advised holiday-goers about the various compensation policies available to them the words: “Flight and accomodation together,”(sic) flashed up on the screen behind her.
The misspelling of “accommodation” infuriated those at home, with many taking to Twitter to complain about the silly mistake.
Clearly unimpressed with the BBC, one fan of the show wrote: “@BBCBreakfast ‘accommodation’ spelt wrong on a caption. Come on, you’re the state broadcaster!”
“@BBCBreakfast can somebody get the spelling of accommodation correct please in the holiday report?” begged another.
While a third added: “Well @stephmcgovern @BBCBreakfast you need to get your ‘accommodation’ updated.”
“Turned on this morning and found this… Come on BBC Breakfast, basic spelling error,” fumed a fourth.
The latest faux pas comes after John Maguire’s coverage of 70-year-olds was blasted by viewers for screening a caption with “exercise” misspelt.
The slip-up again left people raging, with one writing: “‘Excercise’!!!! Really? No editorial input, or is it the editor who can’t spell?”(sic).
BBC Breakfast airs weekdays on BBC One at 6am.
