“I have no muscles, which could be an issue, so we’ll see,” Dan confessed. “I’m going out with the ITV crew in a mo’.
“We’ve got one more training afternoon.”
However, Louise had one big demand: “You’ve got to do one more thing: win.”
Alarmed, Dan hit back: “I mean, I know you’re fiercely competitive. This ITV versus BBC, if I don’t win are you saying I’m not allowed to come back?”
“I’ll consider it,” Louise grinned. “You not coming back.”
The BBC’s team will compromise of Dan, Top Gear’s Rory Reid, newsreader Sophie Raworth, Countryfile’s Ellie Harrison and Radio 1’s Dev Griffin.
Competing for ITV, GMB host Charlotte Hawkins will be joined by This Morning’s Ferne McCann, Coronation Street’s Nicola Thorp, Emmerdale’s Chris Bisson, Benidorm’s Jake Canuso and Love Island runner-up Chris Hughes.
During today’s GMB, Dan had swipe at Piers Morgan when asked who was his favourite member of the ITV rival news show.
“Susanna, obviously,” he started. “Love Sean, Kate, Ranvir, Richard Arnold – what a star!”
Piers added: “Funny I don’t have any favourite presenters on BBC and judging on the ratings, neither do the viewers!”
He turned to Charlotte and swiped: “Do not let me down again, Hawkins.”
Sport Relief will air between 17 and 23 March across the BBC.
BBC Breakfast airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
