Avengers Infinity War writers would go back and change THIS 'difficult' plot point

Fans across the world wish they could reverse what just happened in Avengers 3.

So its eems ironic that even the writers have confessed they wished they had the power to go back in time and make one massive change.

Or perhaps they could do it with, you know, a snap of their fingers…?

Devastating ending aside, the movie is a spectacular fan, critics and box office success – so what on Earth could they possibly want to do differently?

The writing duo of Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely have an impressively tight hold on exactly where they want these movies to go.

Since they started their remarkable collaboration with director Joe and Anthony Russo on Captain America Winter Soldier, they have never appeared to remotely lose control of teir vison or not deliver every high and low that fans hope for.

However, some things really are completely beyond their control, forcing them to accommodate difficult requirements.

In a major new interview with The New York Times, McFeely revealed their biggest problem.

He said: “Had we started from scratch, we would not have chosen six damn MacGuffins. That’s not that helpful. It was difficult to get that all in.”

Yes, he really is referrring the gems that give life and all meaning to the entire Marvel universe, comic book and movie.

Then again, it is easy to sympathise, since six gems required six locations and endless quests to find, obtain and lose them and all six had to feature prominently in Infinity War.

Some might argue, however, that not much time was given to the sacking of unfortunate Xandar, which happened off screen when Thanos took the Power Stone from Nova Corps.

A minor quibble in a major movie.

Now of course, if all the fans theories are on track, there are six stones to find all over again and either destroy or unite in a new Infinity Gauntlet.

Those poor old writers have to do it all over again…
