The Thanos actor – who will be the antagonist of a great number of Marvel favourites in the all-star blockbuster – has promised that the film is shaping up to be “amazing”.
Interviewed by Flickering Myth about that and Deadpool 2, in which he also stars, he said: “They’re both really good, that’s all I know.
“I’ve seen 30 minutes of Infinity War – I thought it was amazing.”
He added: “Deadpool, I know it’s going to be very fun and funny and fresh because it’s very different to the first film.
“I really enjoyed them both. I didn’t think I would, but I did.”
After the success of Black Panther around the world, the bar is certainly very high for the Russo brothers to deliver with Infinity War.
But with the release date brought forward worldwide to late April, it seems they can count on it being one of the biggest releases on 2018.
Infinity War is part of a two-part movie; with Part Two – still officially untitled – due in 2019.
Both movies wrapped last year, and it’s thought that they will include several fatalities among the MCU fan favourites.
Marvel boss Kevin Feige recently told Entertainment Weekly, when asked if the deaths will be “permanent”: “I mean, I could always list off the characters that we’ve killed in our movies that haven’t come back, but the big ones, which I know they’re looking at…?
“I would just say, yes. People need to be careful what they wish for.”
Avengers: Infinity War is out on April 26 in the UK.
