Avengers Infinity War news: Scarlett Johansson reveals all – ‘There’s SO MANY of us’

The new Marvel blockbuster will unite an obscene number of characters from the canon, and during a chatshow appearance this week Johansson revealed just how many are on board.

“I am in it,” she said dryly.

“At one point, I do think that the Infinity Wars… I think there are 61 or 62 Marvel characters in it.”

As host Stephen Colbert looked shocked, Johansson revealed just how confusing it is on set.

“I think in one particular scene there’s like 32 of us,” she added.

“There’s so many of us, I don’t know who’s a Marvel character and who’s a crew member, honestly.”

Johansson plays the Black Widow in the series, and Infinity War will mark her sixth stint in the role since joining Iron Man 2 in 2010.

She’ll then also presumably appear in the Infinity War sequel, currently untitled, in 2019.

Confirmed participants in the all-star epic include Robert Downey Jr (Iron Man), Josh Brolin (Thanos), Mark Ruffalo (Hulk), Tom Hiddleston (Loki), Chris Evans (Captain America), Chris Hemsworth (Thor) and Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye).

Stars from Guardians of the Galaxy are also expected, as is relative newcomer Tom Holland as Spider-Man.

Avengers: Infinity War is out in May 2018.
