After 10 years of MCU movies, Captain Marvel has only been referenced once. During the end credits scene of Avengers Infinity War, Nick Fury began to page her before dying in Thanos’ Snap himself. However, the message was sent, with the film ending on her red and green star logo. Her solo movie, set in the 1990s, is released a month before Avengers Endgame and fans are expecting Carol to be somehow key in the fight back against Thanos.
One theory is that the pager sent a message to Captain Marvel in the past. And now Fury star Jackson has confirmed that Brie Larson’s superhero can, in fact, time travel.
Speaking with ET, he said: “She’s pretty much the strongest character – in terms of someone with powers are able to do things – in the Marvel universe.
“So, for Carol Danvers to be that person and for Brie to become that person, it’s gonna be a dynamite thing.
“I mean, [the Avengers] are up against some really, really tough odds right now – we saw throughout Infinity War – so now we know that we need something that’s as powerful as Thanos.”
But noticeably in one toy leak was that Captain Marvel wasn’t wearing a suit.
Presumably, this is because she can naturally time travel thanks to her powers?
No doubt her solo movie will give a few hints as to her involvement in Endgame.
Avengers Endgame will be released in UK cinemas on April 26, 2019.
