Avengers 4 trailer: Is it releasing THIS weekend? Wait continues for teaser

The trailer has been thought to be in the works for some time now, with the one-year anniversary of the Avengers: Infinity War trailer coming and going. Rumours that it would drop on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday of last week have now been proven false. So when can we expect it?

Though of course anything could happen, it does seem unlikely that the trailer will be released over the weekend.

Unless there are any big sporting events such as the Super Bowl to consider, big trailers rarely come out on a Saturday or a Sunday.

Looking back through Marvel‘s recent past, the first look at Black Panther came out on a Monday, Ant-Man and the Wasp’s first teaser landed on a Tuesday, and Captain Marvel’s teaser did the same.

Avengers: Infinity War also dropped its first trailer midweek.

So it seems Marvel fans can rest easy: it’s very unlikely that a trailer will be out before Monday.

That being said, it’s not impossible that the Russos and Kevin Feige could surprise us. It’s also not unfeasible that they’ll announce when the trailer will be released.

It is a common thread of thought among Marvel fans that some kind of official detail – even if it’s only Avengers 4’s actual title – will need to be released before the prelude comic comes out.

And that day is fast approaching: according to We Got This Covered, it’s December 5.

That same site claims to have heard from sources that the teaser is definitely coming this month.

It’s worth pointing out too that in an Instagram Q&A last month, the Russos appeared to imply that it may even come in early 2019.

So long story short: nobody really knows.

Avengers 4 is out on April 26, 2019 in the UK.
