Many Marvel fans may have assumed Avengers 4 will begin straight after Thanos’ Snap in Avengers Infinity War.
However, it now looks very likely that the film rumoured to be called Avengers Annihilation will be set five years later.
The claim comes from Hollywood insider Daniel RPK, who tweeted: “Avengers 4 starts YEARS after Infinity War.
“Not just a few months later as some people were hoping for. Sorry guys.”
A set picture shows Scott looking confused and concerned by a pile of uncollected junk in a suburban street.
Apparently, shots of him running with urgency were also captured at the time.
But why? Well, fans on Reddit have found the exact spot on Google Street View in Atlanta, Georgia, where the MCU movies are shot.
And it turns out it’s just a block away from where Cassie Lang’s home is shot.
So what does this mean for Ant-Man in Avengers 4?
Well with all the junk nearby, it seems that Ant-Man did enter a time vortex in the Quantum Realm and somehow resized but a number of years after Thanos’ snap when half the universe’s population died.
This would tie in with other set photos of the Avengers surrounded by piles of rubbish and a grey-haired Tony Stark.
As for why he’s running, surely he’s headed for Cassie’s home to see if his daughter survived the Snap.
Avengers 4 will be released in UK cinemas on April 26, 2019.
