Marvel movies famously all have some sort of tag during and/or after the end credits. And while Avengers 4 is still a few months away from release and all of its plot details are remaining firmly under wraps, speculation has been ignited over the potential introduction of two Eternals characters.
The Eternals are a fictional human race, intended to be the defenders of Earth.
In the comics, they face antagonism from the Deviants – and Thanos is an Eternal-Deviant hybrid.
Kevin Feige has previously said that an Eternals movie is on the way, so is the end credits sequence of Avengers 4 the perfect time to tease them?
Twitter user DanielRPK, of the site SuperBroMovies, claimed to hear that the parts of Karen and Piper are being cast right now.
He posted: “They started looking to cast the roles of two of the Eternals RIGHT NOW. And there’s a separate breakdown out just for the two of them.
“What this could mean is they may have a cameo or – most likely – they show up in a post credits scene somewhere for an upcoming MCU film.
“The two Eternals are ‘Karen’ and Piper/Sprite. They will most likely show up in a cosmic Marvel movie so either Captain Marvel or Avengers 4.
“A4 is more likely.”
Of course this is completely unconfirmed by Marvel and remains pure speculation.
As for official footage from the film, a first trailer is heavily rumoured to be dropping very soon indeed.
We’re now approaching the first anniversary of the Infinity War trailer; and with the Avengers 4 prelude comic out in early December, it is widely presumed that the teaser will land first.
Avengers 4 is out on April 26 in the UK.
