Apple have lifted the lid on the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus tonight, with a dazzling array of new colours available and a much improved camera.
The Apple iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus will come in sleek silver space grey and gold colour schemes.
The iPhone 8 boasts a new 12MP camera and a new sensor, while the iPhone 8 Plus will have as 12MP sensor.
It also boasts for the first time wireless charging new stereo speakers, and an A11 Bionic chip which is 25 per cent faster.
The iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus will also offer market leading video capture, and be “incredible” for video and picture capturing.
The new iPhones will also be the first smartphones tailored made for Augmented Reality, with the camera specifically built to provide a great AR experience.
New AR apps coming to the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus were announced, including an Augmented Reality Warhammer game from Directive Games.
The iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus will be available to pre-order from September 15, and will be available to buy from September 22.
The iPhone 8 prices start at $ 699 and the iPhone 8 Plus prices begin at $ 799.
The two new smartphones were announced at the first major event held at Apple’s brand new multi-billion pound headquarters in Cupertino, California.
The event also saw the Apple Watch 3 announced and the iPhone X.
This is a huge revision of the iPhone range, with an edge-to-edge display on the front of the phone and an OLED screen.
