As per the Guardian, a suspected suicide bomber has killed 19 people and injured 50 more at an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester. According to the paper’s report, an explosion took place in the foyer of the Manchester Arena as fans were leaving the show. If proven a terrorist attack, it’d be the deadliest attack on British soil in a decade. Grande’s fanbase is notably young, making this attack especially horrific. She’s also young, female and proudly feminist, which makes the targeting of her concert all the more sickening. Grande herself, who was uninjured, tweeted after news of the attack broke:
