Ant McPartlin ‘replaced’ by James Corden for Saturday Night Takeaway Florida finale?

James, 39, appeared on   earlier this month and is a close friend of the presenting duo.

According to show insiders, bosses are keen for Dec to have a co-host when they touch down on American soil.

Dec will present the show on his own for the very first time this weekend, but could now work alongside James, their previous guest announcer.

A show insider told the Daily Star: “Dec has got a big job on his hands fronting a live show from the States all on his own.

“Although he will have fellow show stars Scarlett Moffatt and Stephen Mulhern there to assist, the producers want to add some sparkle with some big Tinseltown names.

“We’re confident everyone will jump on board as it’s such a popular family show.”

Following Ant’s arrest last week, Dec took to social media to release a statement.

He said: “Whilst I never thought I’d be in this position, after much discussion and careful consideration we’ve decided that the remaining two shows of this series of Saturday Night Takeaway will go ahead.

“We made a promise to take hundreds of deserving winners to Florida to watch the series finale, and we will honour that.

“Everyone at ITV and the Takeaway team feels we owe it to the audience to complete the series. Dec x.”

It comes after Dec confirmed last night that he is expecting his first child with wife Ali Astall.

The couple married in Newcastle in 2015 after they met while talent manager Ali looked after Ant and Dec’s media careers at James Grant Management.

The 42-year-old posted a heartfelt Instagram post to thank fans for their “lovely messages”.

Dec posted: “Just wanted to say thank you for all the lovely messages.

“The news has sneaked out a little earlier than we had hoped but Ali and I are delighted to be expecting our first child.

“Thanks for all the love, we really appreciate it. D x.”

A spokesperson for ITV denied reports that James Corden will co-host the Saturday Night Takeaway finale when contacted by Express.co.uk.

returns to this Saturday at 7pm.
