An Artist’s Charming Illustrated Travelogue

Freelance illustrator Maxwell Tilse, whose work we first spotted on Lost at E Minor, specializes in lovely, detailed travel sketches. The London-based artist doesn’t use any digital tools to create his drawings. Everything is done by hand. Tilse’s very talented hand also plays a role on his Instagram page, where he showcases his artworks by holding them against their real-life counterparts. Tilse pays homage to a Moroccan fortress featured in Game of Thrones, a mosque in Marrakech, London pub The Blackfriar, and more. His portfolio is basically one giant illustrated travelogue featuring of the world’s most fascinating places. Take a closer look in our gallery.
